The software was working fine, just fine, no problems UNTIL the update was performed. Why would a driver need to be installed if it already had been? What was it about the Windows 10 upgrade that nullified the software's launch capability?

This is just the straw that broke the camel's back for me so I have since switched back to Windows 7 and the scanner is running just fine (as it was before--see above) unlike the new-and-improved/latest-is-greatest (yeah, that's a laugher) Windows 10. The other issue was that Microsoft Outlook 2010 stopped sending/receiving emails after the update (no problems prior).

Searching the forum regarding possible solutions was not helpful and contacting tech support at Microsoft was even worse--speaking with a non-English speaking individual who was arrogant and unwilling/unable to resolve the issue. Now that I'm back with Windows 7 emails are sending/receiving just fine unlike in the Windows 10 environment.
