Zoom Browser Ex For Windows 7

I have recently purchased a Canon PowerShot S40 and I am having problems downloading pictures using Canon's utility software ZoomBrowser EX. I am getting an error message 'No camera detected. There may be a problem with the camera communications settings or the camer is not ready' 'Press OK to select communications settings to reconnect' When I press 'OK' the software correctly recognizes the port type as USB and my camera as the PowerShot S40, but no pictures are downloaded. I have also select the pirctures to download using the 'Transfer Order' option on the camera. The cable seems to be connect to both my PC and camera correctly. I did not have any problems installing the software. I am running under Win98 operating system.

Any assistance would be appreciated. Php Convert To Pdf File. Canon Easy Print Toolbar on this page. --Kenneth Nishimura BigKNish@yahoo.com. Sometimes there are a few conflicts.perhaps disable this. You cannot use another USB device while you are using your cam. There are conflicts for some unknown reason. 2) Make sure the camera is connected before you boot the PC. 3) If you still cannot see the camera, try unplugging and plugging in the USB lead for your camera (camera connected) into the back of your PC. Hopefully the PC should detect the device then, then click on Zoombrowser in the options window. I don't bother with the transfer mode on the camera. Basically I connect the camera, load Zoombrowser and then click on the 'Canon Camera' icon to connect.

This should open another window with the images inside. Highlight the images you want downloading (left click, use shift-key to select a block of pics, Control to select specific pics) and then click on download button. Hope this helps, Brandon Kenneth Nishimura wrote: I have recently purchased a Canon PowerShot S40 and I am having problems downloading pictures using Canon's utility software ZoomBrowser EX. I called Canon customer service, and they are very helpful. We found that if you open Windows Device Manager, if you see anything under 'Other device', that's what screws the connection.

Forgot exactly what I did later, but I'm sure Canon can solve this issue. BTW, you may try to turn on your S40 first and see if ZoomBrowser can recogonize the camera. You have to turn the camera in 'shooting mode' to download the file.
